Sunday Best Seven Cancelled

Dear Friends, Sponsors, and Donors:

On behalf of the Gray Family and its Board of Directors, thank you for the tremendous support shown to the Gray Foundation for the past twenty-five years. The decision reached by the directors to cancel this year’s fundraising event has not been easy nor taken lightly!

On Monday. we were informed by the City of Santa Rosa that the use of the Finely Center as a shelter for the community members affected by the recent fire, has no set end date and will not be available to us for our November 12th event. Also, in preparation, and as we organized the Gray Foundation event boxes, we discovered the remaining “Alice Gray” legacy hats and donated hats were severely damaged by smoke and soot. Therefore:

We will be working with the City of Santa Rosa and the Finely Center to establish a suitable location, new date and time;
Scholarships awards totaling $4,000 will be mailed to the students;
Community Service honorees – Mario Uribe, Judy Kennedy, and Cleveland Moore will be presented with their awards at a later date; 
We will be coordinating with a local vendor to secure replacement hats for the hat auction; and 
The remainder of the funds will be dedicated to establishing three-four-year scholarships at Piner High School for Coffee Park students whose homes were lost in the recent fire.
